BK Häcken reach inaugural UEFA Women's Europa Cup final
The Swedish champions secured their place despite a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their semi-final on 1 April 2026, progressing 3-1 on aggregate.
Stine Sandbech played the full 90 minutes in defence, helping her side withstand pressure from the four-time UWCL winners. The result sets up an all-Swedish final against Hammarby, a historic first for UEFA women's club competition.
The two rivals will face each other for two different cups in short succession. First up: European silverware over two legs, followed by the domestic Svenska Cupen final on 16 May.
The UEFA Women's Europa Cup is the first-ever second-tier European women's club competition, launched this season to provide more teams across the continent the chance to compete on the European stage.
Another European final to look forward to. Well done, BK Häcken and Stine! 🏆
