BK Häcken Crowned Inaugural UEFA Women's Europa Cup Champions

The Swedish champions defeated rivals Hammarby 3-2 in an all-Swedish final to end the nation's 22-year wait for a European club title.

The match at Gothenburg's Hisingen Arena was a tense and chaotic affair. Häcken established control early, but Hammarby refused to fold, pulling level in the second half to set up a dramatic finish. Häcken found the decisive goal to restore their lead and lift the trophy.

Stine Sandbech played a key role in defence for the Swedish champions, helping her side after Hammarby's equalisers.

The victory marks a historic milestone for Häcken, who become the first-ever winners of the competition and automatically qualify for the 2026/27 UEFA Women's Champions League third qualifying round.

European champions. Congratulations to all the amazing women who fought for this, and especially to the winners, Stine and BK Häcken.
