FC København today named 28-year-old Rikke Sevecke as first-team Assistant Coach, promoting her from Transition Coach, a position which she held since November 2024.
Known for her tactical understanding, communication and leadership qualities, Rikke will bring a wealth of elite-level experience to Kasper Klarskov's coaching team.
On the international stage, Rikke earned 54 senior caps for Denmark and represented her country at the UEFA Women's Euro 2022 and 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Her club career saw her join prestigious clubs including Everton in the WSL and Portland Thorns FC in the NWSL, before a heart condition brought her playing career to a premature end.
Speaking about the appointment, Rikke said:
"It's really exciting to expand my role around the team and I'm looking forward to taking on the role of assistant coach.”
Kasper Klarskov, FC København Women's Head Coach, added:
"I'm really happy that we will now have Rikke even closer to the team. She has already made a big difference as a transition coach, and with her strong professional background and the experience she brings from her time as a professional player, she will be a huge resource for both players and coaching staff."
Congratulations, Rikke! It’s fantastic to see you adapting so well in your coaching career!
